She's saved by a young dragon who escaped its herd and the draker decides to get it back to its family. Takita has to kill its mom to cook, but when another hunter helps them by the name of Aschera, Takita begins to feel attachment and guilt over her career. This uncertainty builds to the finale where she falls off on a hunt and lands in a rocky landscape. She eats it, too, but it starts to weigh on her mind. Initially, she tries to catch a young prize dragon that stowed aboard, but they end up cooking it. RELATED: Baki: Why Season 3's Raitai Tournament Is Disappointing Takita, however, seems like she'll be the one to change everyone's minds due to her naivety and sense of hope that the species can co-exist. To the humans, they're nothing more than food and a salary, so it lacks compassion if you're an animal lover watching the anime. Sure, some are threats but most are peaceful, and seeing Mika murdering young, old and even pregnant dragons is heartbreaking. The cookings, parties and celebrations are the fun aftermaths, but before that, it's cruel the way ships like the Quin Zaza attack innocent creatures swimming through the air. It's all to do with the variety of dragons on tap and while this adds a light aspect to the show, it doesn't detract from how the beasts are killed in a manner that's similar to the whaling industry. The vessel hunts down dragons a la Kaiju, but when they slaughter them, it's a culinary delight as they go from port to port, cooking the meat in different styles.
